Jennifer's Pandora Story

My charmed story begins with an admiration of a good friend’s charm bracelet. My friend had received a Pandora bracelet from her family and friends for her birthday. Each bead was from a different person and had a special meaning behind it. Expressing my admiration to my boyfriend, he had organized a surprise birthday gift for me. He had contacted my family and organized the start to a beautiful charm bracelet.

I received my Pandora bracelet for my birthday. Each bead I received came with a message explaining the rationale and meaning behind each bead choice.

My boyfriend had gotten me the rose bead and sunburst clip. The rose bead was the twelfth rose attached to a bouquet of eleven roses. Every year for my birthday, he sends me a dozen long stemmed red roses so the bead will always remind me of the beautiful flowers he gets me. The sunburst clip reminded us of when we first met our first year of college. On our first date (cafeteria food because we did not have a car to be able to go off campus) we were having so much fun hanging out and talking in the schools quadrangle, that we stayed up all night and watched the sunrise together. Since then, it has been all sunshine and rainbows with us.

My grandma had gotten me the eternity bead. My grandma has always loved the Chinese characters and we hope to someday travel to Asia together. She chose the eternity bead to represent a lifetime (eternity) of good health and fortune.

My sister had gotten me the web bead partially because she liked the design of the bead and partially as a joke. We both have a big fear of spiders (we do not even like to see spider webs) which is why she chose the web bead; it just seemed fitting. A few years ago when we were on vacation, we were walking through the town, going into a few shops, when we saw a big tarantula. We both screamed and ran away as fast as we could while people stared and gave us strange looks.

My parents had gotten me the clip with cubic zirconia stones and the cluster bead. The told me they though the cubic zirconia clip added a little bit of sparkle which every girl needs. The cluster bead reminded them of family, a cluster of people who are always connected.

I look forward to new addition to my bracelet from the special people in my life. I am so fortunate to have a loving boyfriend and family. I will cherish the bracelet and always remember the thought everyone put into it. I loved the idea of the bracelet so much that I bought a Pandora bracelet for my sister for Christmas.
