A Precious Pandora Bead to Remind Me...

What a wonderful day birthdays are!  They are a great time to have fun with family and friends and reminisce about past occurrences.  I was so excited to see that friends and family had bought me beads for my Pandora bracelet.  My parents decided to buy me the purple lights bead because they knew it was one that I had been missing and wanting.  I had the clear lights bead already and was hoping to add a colored lights bead soon.  They also like buying me gems that remind them of my birthday many years ago on a snowy February evening.  For my confirmation years ago, they bought me a birthstone ring and then for high school graduation a pair of amethyst earrings.  Both of which I still treasure.  They had never bought me a bracelet with this gemstone until now when I received this bead for my bracelet.  My dad is not much for jewelry, but for some reason he does like to purchase birthstone things.  He has bought my mother and sisters several pieces with their birthstones including earrings and rings also.  He seemed happy to be a part of giving me something that he could tell made me happy.  He even asked if there were other birthstone or purple gemstone beads I would like.    I will have to show him others for the next holiday that rolls around.  Now I will always have this precious bead to remind me of their thoughtfulness.   It will not soon be forgotten.
