I started collecting Pandora beads a couple years ago when I received a necklace for Christmas from my mother. There are so many choices for beads that I am glad that most of mine have been given to me as gifts for different occasions.
My sister gave me the intricate rose bead because my nickname growing up was Rose or Rosy. My family started calling me this when I was about four years old. I was told the name started because I always had rosy cheeks, even if they weren’t sunburned or I wasn’t blushing. It is just something I have to live with.
My boyfriend gave me the love bouquet bead. I really like this bead because the flowers seem so real with the card in gold on it professing someone’s love. My boyfriend likes to give me flowers, and has on occasion, given me bouquets of daisies. He always signs the card the same, “Love, Me.” That is why this bead is so special.
My mother gave me the sun, moon and stars bead. I like how all three of these are represented on one bead. She said she picked this bead because it reminded her of our camping trips to many different lakes in Wisconsin.
The swirls bead was given to my by my sister. She said it represents my love for art. The doodles on it look like some of the things we used to draw when we were younger.
My father gave me the captivating blue bead. My dad said the color in the bead was so beautiful that he couldn’t resist. He bought it because it reminded him of my bright blue eyes.
I am so happy I have a necklace that I can add beads to because there are so many Pandora beads I would like to have. I like how my bracelet and necklace have two entirely different looks.
