I was in search of the perfect present for my very best friend who was turning 40. I searched the internet and several stores looking for some great ideas. Then I remembered that I was in a store a few months back and I saw the neatest charm bracelet made by Pandora and I practically ran back to that store to get my friend a bracelet and pick the perfect charms … The only problem was I couldn’t decide what the right size was, should I get the 7 inch or 7.5 inch? Nothing would be more disappointing than receiving a bracelet that was too big or too small, so I got both, and planned on returning the incorrect size. It turns out the 7.5 inch was the one for her and she absolutely loved the bracelet, the present charm and the beveled silver clip I got her. This brings me to my bracelet … as I was wrapping the 7 inch bracelet to return it to the store, I tried it on and it fit me perfectly! So I decided to keep it for myself as I just turned 40 as well.
My first charm was the Butterfly; my four year old daughter picked it out for me because she loves butterflies. Someone then gave me an American Express gift card so I bought myself the Tendril PCZ clip as I was told I needed a clip for my Pandora bracelet.
When I was looking for my next charm, I found this great website www.chains-and-charms.com, free shipping over $35, free charm dollars, who can beat that? I decided on the Snowflake Aqua CZ. My parents were always singing when I was growing up and we watched the Sound of Music on several occasions. “My Favorite Things” is one of my favorite songs from the movie … “Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes”.
My next charm was the Jack -O- Lantern, I got that charm to remind me of the surprise 40th birthday party I gave my husband on Halloween because that is his favorite holiday. I should also note here that I got my sister-in-law a Pandora bracelet with the Present charm for her 40th birthday that we celebrated with my husband’s birthday.
For Christmas, my daughter gave me the Angel of Hope charm because she said “she is my little angel” and my husband gave me the Kitty charm for my dearly departed cat “Buddy”.
My “Memere” gave me money for Christmas and with that money I got the Rose PCZ charm because she loves roses. There happen to be four roses on that charm that remind me of our four generations (my grandmother, my mother, my daughter and myself). My daughter’s middle name is “Rose” and when she was born we took a picture of our four generations holding a rose.
My Uncle also gave me money for Christmas and with that money I got the Blossom ACZ charm. When I was little, my Uncle and I didn’t have much of a relationship but as I’ve gotten older our relationship has blossomed over the years, Amethyst also happens to be his birthstone.
I also got the Double Heart Diamond clip with money my husband had given me for Christmas to celebrate our love.
For my birthday in January my very best friend gave me the Love Me Black Mother of Pearl charm, which I love. My daughter gave me the Purse PCZ charm because she knew I would want it and my husband gave me the Wedding Cake charm (that he insists is a Birthday Cake, but that works for me!)
