Sharing Pandora

Every time I get a new Pandora charm I can’t wait to get to work to show it to my co-worker.  You see she also has a Pandora charm bracelet.  In fact she was the one who introduced me to the Pandora collection in the first place.  I had seen an article in the newspaper several years before about the new craze in charm bracelets but had never come across them at any store, or at least I did not notice them.  Now I look everywhere I shop and have searched the web to find more stores that carry them.

Over Christmas my co-worker’s Mother had given her and her 2 sisters each 5 Pandora charms.  The “Mom” wasn’t sure which charms each daughter would like so she told them they could trade with each other.  My co-worker said they had so much fun looking at all the charms and bargaining with the other sister.  They all had such different interests. After many swaps they were finally satisfied with their choices.  When I came to work the week after Christmas, she was so excited to show me all her new charms.  I commented on how I liked the drum because my son played the drums in high school.  She said that she had no connections with drums since her children never played the drums.  Then she asked if I would want to trade with her.  My quick response was an adamant “YES”!  We immediately checked out the Pandora website (chains-and-charms.com of course!) so she could show me the charms she would like to have in place of the drum charm.  Needless to say I had to buy 2 charms (a round bead charm and a locking clip bead) to equal the value of the drum charm.  I was more than happy to do it in order to get the drum!  I couldn’t wait to order the charms to trade with her.  I only hoped she didn’t turn around and buy them herself before I could order them.  She was delighted to make the trade and we both went home happy with our new charms.  I’m always anticipating which charm she’ll get next, too.
Now my boy charm has something to do when he is not traveling with the suitcase and the dog. He can drum all day long. At least he won’t be making any real noise!
