I am not the recipient of a charm bracelet but rather the gift giver.
I have a boss that I truly admire and just love working for. She is the General Manager of a private
Country Club and we were undergoing a major 3-year renovation to our facilities. After wracking
my brain for the perfect gift for her, I stumbled across the idea of giving her a charm bracelet with
charms to commemorate her accomplishments during 2006. My intention is to add to the bracelet
for the year 2007. I did not know her to be a big jewelry person before but, I know it was a
special gift to her, as she wears it often.
The first year (Christmas 2006) I gave her the bracelet and 3 charms: a swimmer (for our
reconstructed pool project), a flag stick (for our Gas & Re-grass project at our Golf Course) and a
package of French Fries (for our newly expanded kitchen that included a fryer). When she opened
the box, she immediately understood each charm and its significance. The gift was a hit!
This year, as the project is just finishing, I intend to give her charms that will commemorate the following:
Her new husband, yes, she was also married during this year is going to add charms as well for their wedding and honeymoon and her completion of the Marine Corp Marathon. As you can see, she is
quite an accomplishment in her own right!
Hopefully others can use this suggestion for a very special gift recipient.
Sincerely,
Bonnie T |
