This bracelet was started for me years ago by my parents and has filled up through the years with both charms and treasured memories.
Here are the charms and what they represent:
-A book to represent my love of reading as well as my job as a teacher.
-An oval with the World Trade Center Twin Towers to remember a dear family friend whose life was cut short on September 11, 2001 in Tower One in the terrorist acts on our country.
-A palm tree to represent my first cruise. I went to the Bahamas on a 'girl's only!' trip with friends.
-A bird to represent my favorite song (Free Bird)
-A house to represent buying my first home. It has my house number engraved on the back.
-A heart with a cross inside to represent my Catholic religion.
-A pair of baby booties given to me by my sister on the day she asked me to be the Godmother of my new neice. Her name is engraved on the back.
-A hope chest that opens, in which I keep a little folded up piece of paper of something that I am currently wishing or hoping for.
-A letter engraved with the words "I love you" from my boyfriend for our first Valentine's Day.
-A cow to represent my love of animals.
-A large heart engraved with my birthday given to me for my 25th Birthday.
I absolutely love this bracelet and all it represents in my life. I love the conversations I have with everyone from friends to strangers about it. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my story.
