The Charming Years

A charm bracelet can tell you a lot about a person’s life and what has happened to them throughout the years. My charm bracelet consists of many memories for me from being an infant (which at that age you do not have a lot of memories but stories that are shared with you) until being an adult. On my bracelet I have a charm of a turtle which symbolizes me as a newborn baby. I was a premature baby and my grandfather used to tell me that he could hold me in one hand and I used to stick my head out just like a turtle out of its shell. I also have many others that were given to me throughout the years like a St. Anthony’s medal that was given to me when I made my 1st communion in second grade. Another one is one that said “world’s best babysitter” given to me by the children I babysat for when I became too old and stopped babysitting. There are many more that could take me on an adventure through the years of my life including getting married, to becoming a mom. My charm bracelet is like carrying the story of my life in a wonderful, fashionable way that can be shown and shared for people to see. I am going to be getting my daughter, who just turned 10, a charm bracelet this year for Christmas so that she can begin to tell her life story.
